Hall of Fame
Established in 1958, the American Red Cross Hall of Fame plays tribute to individuals from the central Indiana community who exemplify the spirit of the worldwide Red Cross movement by risking their lives for others.
The Hall of Fame Award is regarded as one of the highest local honors for heroism; and the awards presentation is one of this community’s most compelling annual events. During the past 48 years, the American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis has inducted more than 500 local heroes into the Hall of Fame.
Reaching out to area youth
The 49th Annual Red Cross Hall of Fame Awards will be presented to Pike High School students at the Pike Performing Arts Center. 2008 marks the third year that the Red Cross Hall of Fame Awards has been presented to local high school students. More than 800 juniors attended the 47th Annual Hall of Fame Awards at Carmel High School in 2005; over 900 students attended the 48th Annual Hall of Fame Awards at Center Grove High School in 2006.
It was real moving. You don’t hear a lot about this stuff. These are unsung heroes.
Carmel High School student
Very nice. You don't get a chance to meet real heroes every day.
Center Grove High School student
